Welcome to CAMA!
The Correctional Accreditation Managers Association was founded in 1987 as a forum for Accreditation Managers and others involved in ACA accreditation to discuss ideas, concerns, and solutions, and to provide corrections professionals with accreditation specific training. CAMA has held a training conference every year since 1988. We publish The Criterion three times a year, and provide training and other material on our web site. CAMA is the only national professional organization dedicated only to the task of accreditation. CAMA’s mission, as approved in August, 2007, is: "To support and assist correctional agencies worldwide in achieving and maintaining the American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation for their agency/facility through their Accreditation Manager by offering professional training, networking, and technical assistance. CAMA recognizes that no one person is responsible for the accreditation process for any given agency/facility or department but believes that a firm foundation for the process can and should be established through the accreditation manager" I hope that you will become a member of CAMA if you have not already done so, and that you will join us at our annual training conference. If you have not yet achieved accreditation, CAMA can help you get there. If you have, we can help you maintain it.
